Problem overview

Technology systems are used daily across hospitals, GP surgeries, care homes, pharmacies and community care facilities.

They don’t talk to each other or align their activities. There is no uniform patient database to ensure accuracy of patient data.

GPs and nurses manage their diaries manually, take written notes and have very little visibility of the medical practice’s workload.

As a result, staff often get frustrated, and medical practices suffer significant financial losses due to inefficiency of processes currently in place.

After identifying key functionalities, I created an IA to determine the right organization flow.

Here is why I chose this system for doctors. Nurses and other staff members will get different views according to their role (this may change the outcome with the foundational research).

In this case, patient data, calendar, chat, and analytical data are the main sections for the tool.

The mobile era is here. Doctors, patients, nurses, everyone has a mobile with them.

Therefore, I chose a mobile approach for the UI design and tried to Hi-fi prototypes.

However, It’s better to have both web and mobile form solution for the system.
We can decide what will be more practical  after getting data from user research.

Home Screen

Here, doctors are able to see a quick summary of important data. Doctor details, The doctor's availability indicator, Option to quickly scan QR codes, Today’s appointment details, Today’s surgery details, Option for quick notes, Urgent requests Analytical data... etc

Patient Search

Doctors are able to easily search patients' records by simply entering the patient's name or ID. With the new QR scanning option, it is super easy to access all the data at once. Personal details, Medical history, Visit dates, Lab reports, Patient diagnosis...

Calendar

With Calendar view, doctors can quickly view and react to appointments and get reminders about upcoming surgeries, so doctors always know what’s next. The Doctor's Calendar is designed for teams, so it’s easy to share the doctor's schedule with other staff members and can be used together.
